# Filtering in CMS Lists

**For CMS lists and List pages, filtering can be enabled and customized to show only certain items.**

To set up filtering on a CMS list you will need to:

* **Select** the **CMS List** in the Layers tab or canvas
* Go to **Right panel - Collection settings**
* Click on the **“+” icon** next to the **Filtering** option
* In the newly opened menu **select an Attribute** to filter by
* **Add a value manually** or **set up a dynamic property**

| To add a dynamic property as a filtering attribute, the list must be contained within a different CMS List or CMS Item.
