# How to connect to a Headless CMS platform

**Connect your TeleportHQ project to one of several headless content management systems to enable the creation of dynamic websites.**

Integrating a headless CMS into your project allows you to pull data from the CMS and bind it to elements in your project. This makes it much easier to scale content heavy websites.

Once a connection is established, TeleportHQ will automatically pull existing and newly added data from the CMS. This makes it easier to set up and scale content heavy websites.

## Supported CMS platforms

The headless CMS platforms that we support connection with at the moment are:

|    |    |    |    |    |
| ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- | ---- |
| [Strapi](https://strapi.io/) | [Contentful](https://www.contentful.com/) | [Caisy](https://caisy.io/) | [Flotiq](https://flotiq.com/) | [Wordpress](https://wordpress.com) - limited capacity |

## How to connect to a headless CMS

To connect to one of these platforms, in your project:

* Go to the **Left panel** -> **CMS Integration tab**
* **Select the CMS **platform you want to connect to
* **Add** the necessary **credentials**
* **Click Connect**
* Choose the **collections** you want to import from the CMS

Once you are connected, TeleportHQ will fetch the data from your instance and make it available to use in your project. Additionally, special collections pages will be automatically generated for you to use.

| Data is retrieved in the form of collections. A collection can have one or more items. An item can have one or more properties.

## Where to find the connection credentials for the CMS platforms

Each supported platform requires credentials that are unique. Check out these video tutorials to find the credentials for each supported headless CMS platform.
