# How to create a download link for an asset

**Learn how easy it is to create a download link for one of your uploaded assets such as PDF's or other documents.**

## Copy the asset link to clipboard

From the **Left panel**:

* Go to the **Assets manager**
* Search for the file you want to make downloadable
* **Right click** the file
* Select **“Copy Asset Link to Clipboard”**.

## Create the download link

In the canvas:

* Select the element you want to add the download link to
* Click on the **Link icon** above the selected element
* **Paste the Asset Link** that you previously copied to the Clipboard in the URL section
