How to manage deployments in TeleportHQ

The deployments tab of the Publish section permits continuous delivery for your project, allowing you to manage and promote your deployments. Here's all you need to know:

1. Deployments panel

To reach the deployments tab you will need to:

Click on the Publish button on the right side of the top bar in the editor;
Click on the Deployments tab just below the Domains tab

Each time your project is publish a listing is created in the Deployments tab with the date of the publish, build logs and a several options available when clicking on the ellipsis button (⋮) in a listing.

2. Redeploying

The first option available for a deployment is to Redeploy it. This can be used in the rare case that the deployment did not go through for various reasons.

To Redeploy one of your deployments click on the ellipsis icon (⋮) and select Redeploy from the dropdown menu.

3. Promoting deployments

The next option available for a deployment is to promote Staging deployments to production.

When republishing a project, the deployment will be listed in the Deployments tab with the Staging tag and a unique URL. You can check that URL to see the changes made in this deployment after which you can Promote the deployment to Production and the changes will appear under the custom domain.

To Promote one of your deployments to Production click on the ellipsis icon (⋮) and select Promote to production from the dropdown menu.

4. Viewing build logs

You can also choose to view the Build logs for the Deployment. This can be helpful to identify errors in case of a problem with the deployment.

To view the Build logs for one of your deployments click on the ellipsis icon (⋮) and select Build logs from the dropdown menu.

5. Deleting deployments

The last option is to delete one of your deployments if it is no longer needed.

To delete a deployment from the list, click on the ellipsis icon (⋮) and select Delete from the dropdown menu.
