# How to reset your account password

**Here's a quick step by step guide into how you can reset the password for your TeleportHQ account.**

|| If you are logged in, please log out.

* Go to [https://play.teleporthq.io/forgot](https://play.teleporthq.io/forgot)
* **Enter your email address**. If the email is associated with an existing account you will receive a reset email
* Click on the **Reset password** button in the email
* In the **reset password view**, please **set a new password**

Resetting your password also works with accounts created with Google or GitHub. After resetting the password, you'll be able to log in both with Google/Github login mechanisms or by manually typing your email and password.
