# Project privacy settings

**Project owners can set different privacy settings for their projects. Here is a brief explanation of the different access types or privacy settings that are available.**

| **Public projects** | A project set to **Public** will be accessible to **View** in the editor or to **Clone** to anyone that has the link to the project. By default, any newly created project will be set as a Public project for free accounts. For Pro accounts the projects will be set as Private by default. |
| **Private projects** | A project set to **Private** will only be accessible to [collaborators](https://help.teleporthq.io/en/article/invite-collaborators-to-work-together-4w453g/) that you have invited specifically to your project or to the workspace that project belongs to. |

| Free accounts only have access to Public projects.

|| Private projects are only available on premium accounts.
