# Sorting in CMS Lists

**For CMS lists and List pages, sorting can be enabled and customize the order by which items are displayed.**

To set up sorting on a CMS list you will need to:

* **Select** the **CMS List** in the Layers tab or canvas
* Go to **Right panel - Collection settings**
* Click on the **“+” icon** next to the **Sorting** option
* In the newly opened menu **select an Attribute** to sort by
* **Choose Ascending** or **Descending** as a sorting direction
