How to back up and restore your website

Backups allow you to restore your TeleportHQ project to a previous version in case something went wrong. Rollback your projects easily. Here’s how:

How to create a manual backup


To create a backup for your website:


  • Go to the Toolbar (bottom of the canvas)
  • Click on the Backups button
  • In the new window click on the + Backup current project state button
  • Give the backup a suggestive name and description
  • Click Save backup

Automatic backup (Autosave)


In case you did not create a manual backup, we automatically save your project on load every 6 hours, keeping the two most recent copies.


They are labeled with Auto Save.


How to restore your website


To restore a project to a certain backup: 


  • Go to the Toolbar (bottom of the canvas)
  • Click on the Backups button
  • Hover over the backup you want to restore
  • Click the Restore button
  • **Confirm you want to restore **by clicking on the next Restore button as well


Restoring a backup will not be automatically propagated to the published version of your website. Make sure to republish the website to see the restored version.
