What can't the TeleportHQ store do yet?

What can't the TeleportHQ store do yet?

The TeleportHQ store sells physical and digital products, personalized products, subscriptions and gift cards, paid through Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Razorpay, Square, Paddle or CoinGate, or on delivery. It can't yet connect seven other payment providers, import products straight from another store platform (importing a CSV or JSON file, including a Shopify export, does work), fetch live carrier rates or look up tax rates for you, or keep separate test keys for staging. The details and workarounds are below.

Payment providers that are coming soon

Not available yet. You can connect Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Razorpay, Square, Paddle and CoinGate today, and turn on Cash on Delivery. These providers are shown in TeleportHQ as Coming Soon and can't be connected:

  • Adyen
  • Checkout.com
  • Paystack
  • Flutterwave
  • PayU
  • Fiserv
  • Antom

In the Add Payment Provider panel, you can tell TeleportHQ which provider you want: under Payment Providers Coming Soon, click Notify Me When Available.

The Coming Soon payment providers and the Payment Providers Coming Soon box in the TeleportHQ Add Payment Provider panel

Also good to know: you connect every provider by pasting its API keys. There's no "Sign in with Stripe" connection. See How to accept payments with Stripe or PayPal.

What each payment provider can't do

The live providers differ in what their own terms and systems allow:

  • Paddle sells digital products and software only, never physical goods or gift cards.
  • CoinGate isn't offered for gift cards. Its refunds are issued from the CoinGate dashboard, not from the order in TeleportHQ.
  • Subscriptions: Square and CoinGate can't give a free trial. PayPal and Mollie can't cancel at the end of the billing period: a cancellation takes effect at once. Mollie can't pause a subscription. See How to sell subscriptions and manage subscribers.

Importing products directly from another platform

Not available yet. In the Import Products panel, the platform connections for Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Square and Ecwid are marked Coming Soon. Products can't be pulled in from your payment provider account either.

What works today: import from a file. Export your products from the other platform as a CSV or JSON file and upload it. A Shopify product export works as it is, including variants. See How to import products from a file (including Shopify).

Live carrier rates and automatic tax rates

Not available. TeleportHQ shipping zones charge the prices you set: a flat rate, a rate by order total or a rate by weight, per group of countries. The store doesn't fetch live rates from carriers such as UPS, DHL or FedEx at checkout. See How to charge different shipping prices by country (shipping zones).

Tax works the same way: you enter each country's or region's rate in Shipping & Tax Regions, and the checkout charges the buyer's rate. TeleportHQ doesn't look the rates up for you. Paddle, which sells as the merchant of record, handles sales tax itself. See How to set up invoices and VAT for your store.

Separate test keys for staging

Not available. Each project uses one set of keys per provider for every publish, staging included. You can't use test keys on a staging site and live keys on production. To test, use test keys, then switch to live keys before you open the store. See How to test payments before going live.

Other limits to know

These TeleportHQ store features exist, with limits:

  • Product variants. Up to 3 options per product (for example Size, Color and Material), and up to 500 combinations. See How to add sizes, colors and other variants.
  • Product discounts. One discount can be active per product at a time. You can schedule several with dates that don't overlap.
  • Abandoned cart reminders and reviews work only for signed-in shoppers.
  • Google Shopping syncs when you click Sync products now, or Google re-reads your product feed link on its own schedule.
  • 3D models generated from a product photo are marked Soon. You can upload a .glb file or pick a free model.
  • Code download. A store project is a web app, so its code can't be downloaded.
  • Activations. A project can turn e-commerce on up to 10 times.

How to create an online store with TeleportHQ

You can create an online store in TeleportHQ in two ways, by letting AI build a complete store (or starting from a store template) from the E-commerce card in New Project, or by switching on E-commerce in an existing project from Plugins, and then you connect a payment provider such as Stripe or PayPal, add products and publish.

How to accept payments with Stripe or PayPal

To accept online payments in a TeleportHQ store, open E-commerce → Payment Providers, click +, pick Stripe, PayPal or another provider, paste its API keys and click Save Configuration; when you publish, TeleportHQ connects the Stripe or PayPal webhook for you so paid orders are marked paid.

How to import products from a file (including Shopify)

To import products into a TeleportHQ store, open the E-Commerce panel, click More actions (…) → Import Products next to Products, drop a CSV or JSON file of up to 10 MB (a Shopify product export works as it is, variants included), check the preview and click Import; files with other column names can be mapped with AI.

How to charge different shipping prices by country (shipping zones)

In TeleportHQ, switch on Shipping & Tax Regions in E-Commerce Settings, click Manage Regions, add a shipping zone with its countries, then give it one or more rates (flat, by order total or by weight); buyers pay the rates of the zone that lists their country, and you can also set tax per country there.

How to sell subscriptions and manage subscribers

In TeleportHQ, you sell a subscription by setting a product's Payment Type to Recurring, choosing a Billing Interval and an optional free trial; your payment provider charges buyers every period, you manage subscribers in Growth → E-Commerce → Subscriptions, and buyers manage theirs on a My Subscriptions page.

How to sell digital products (downloads and license keys)

In TeleportHQ, turn on This product is digital in the product form, add the files buyers download with Add files and, if you sell software, paste license keys; once an order is paid, buyers download from their order page and get an email, and no delivery fee is charged.
