How to ask the AI Assistant how to do something

You can ask the TeleportHQ AI Assistant how to do something in TeleportHQ, right in the editor. Type your question, for example How do I connect a custom domain?. The assistant searches the TeleportHQ help center and answers from the articles it finds, with a link so you can read more.

Steps

  1. In the TeleportHQ editor, above the top right of the canvas, click AI Assistant.

  2. In the message box, type your question. For example: How do I add a contact form that emails me? In an empty chat, you can also click TeleportHQ documentation under Common requests. It types "Search the TeleportHQ documentation and explain to me how to add Google Maps" with the last words selected, so you can type your own topic over them.

  3. Press Enter.
  4. Wait while the status shows Searching docs…. When the search finishes, the chat shows Documentation searched.

  5. Read the answer. Names of editor controls in it, such as Publish ↗, are links: click one to go to that place in the editor. The answer ends with the address of the help center article it's based on (Full guide:). Copy it into your browser to read the whole article.

Check that it worked

The TeleportHQ AI Assistant's answer includes the address of the help center article it's based on. If you want the assistant to do the task for you instead, ask it directly, for example Connect my contact form to my email.

Troubleshooting

The assistant says the documentation does not cover this The AI Assistant answers product questions only from the TeleportHQ help center. When no article covers your question, it tells you instead of guessing. Try other words, or contact support. See How to get help: AI Assistant, support chat and this help center.

Good to know

  • Asking questions uses AI tokens, like any AI Assistant message.
  • In one message, the assistant can look things up in the help center or on the web up to 3 times.
  • It can also search the web for current facts about other services, for example how to find your Stripe keys.
  • The AI Assistant is only available inside a project in the editor. From the dashboard, use this help center or the support chat.

In the TeleportHQ AI Assistant, hover a reply to rate it with thumbs up or down or flag it with a note, and fill in the occasional Quick survey to earn 500 AI tokens, at most once every 7 days.
