How many custom domains can I connect (and how to get more)?
A TeleportHQ Trial, Pro or Premium workspace includes 1 custom domain. Each Web App slot you buy adds 1 more. On Pro and Premium you can also buy extra custom domain slots: click Buy Custom Domain Slot in the Publish window, or go to Workspace Settings → Custom Domains. On a trial you can't buy extra slots.
Custom domains included in each plan
The limit is for the whole workspace. Each project can use one custom domain, together with its www twin, so mybakery.com and www.mybakery.com count as one slot.
| Plan | Custom domains included |
|---|---|
| Trial | 1 |
| Pro | 1 |
| Premium | 1 |
| Each Web App slot you buy | +1 |
| Workspace whose trial or subscription ended | 0 |
Only Web App slots you buy add a domain. The Web App slot that comes with Trial and Premium doesn't. For example, a Pro workspace that buys one Web App slot for its booking app can connect 2 custom domains. See What add-ons can I buy?.
For prices, see the TeleportHQ pricing page.
Older plans
Some workspaces keep a different allowance:
| Plan | Custom domains included |
|---|---|
| Pro on older per-editor terms | 1 per paying editor seat, or 3 per seat if the subscription started before 27 August 2026 |
| Academic | 1 |
| Lifetime | 15 |
| Lifetime Pro | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | 3 |
| Graduate | 0 |
If your plan's allowance went down, the domains you already connected keep working. Workspace Settings → Custom Domains shows "You are using N custom domains and your plan now includes M. Every domain keeps working. To add another, remove one from a project below or buy a domain slot." See I'm on an older or Lifetime plan: what do I get?.
How to see how many slots you use
- In the editor: open Publish. The Custom domain heading shows, for example, "1 of 1 slots used".
- On the dashboard: the workspace owner opens the workspace's menu in the left sidebar and clicks Custom Domains. The page shows "N / M domains used", what is "Included with your plan:", "Purchased subscriptions:", "From Web App slots:" and the "Total limit:".
How to buy another custom domain slot
You need a Pro or Premium plan. Buying slots isn't available on a trial, and the Buy Custom Domain Slot button is hidden during a trial.
- In the editor, at the top right, click Publish.
- In the Custom domain section, click Buy Custom Domain Slot. The Purchase Custom Domain Subscription window opens. It also opens by itself when you click Configure with no free slots.
- Review Current Domain Usage and the price under Add 1 custom domain slot.
- Check the charge: "Charged today:" (prorated for the rest of your billing period) or "Charged on your next invoice:".
- Click Purchase. If needed, TeleportHQ sends you to a secure checkout page to pay.
- When the slot is added, you see "Domain subscription added successfully! You can now add custom domains to your project."
The workspace owner can also buy slots in Workspace Settings → Custom Domains with Purchase More Domains.
Good to know
- A slot is a recurring subscription. It renews every month or every year, matching your plan's billing cycle, until you cancel it.
- Cancel a slot in Workspace Settings → Custom Domains → Cancel. In the Cancel Domain Subscription window, click Cancel Subscription. You keep the slot until the end of the period you paid for, and you can Renew it until then.
- Free up a slot without buying one: remove the domain from a project you no longer need. In that project's Publish window, click Remove next to the domain in the Custom domain section, then Remove again to confirm ("Remove this domain?"). Or use Remove next to the slot in Workspace Settings → Custom Domains (then Remove Domain to confirm).
- Some plans can't buy add-ons. Their purchase window says "Custom domains, extra languages and extra editors are not included in this plan. Create a Pro or Premium workspace to use them."
- If the purchase fails, you see "Failed to purchase domain subscription. Please try again."
- When a subscription ends, domain subscriptions are cancelled and custom domains are removed. See What happens when my trial or subscription ends?.
