How to see what AI has cost your workspace

To see what AI has cost in TeleportHQ, open a project, click the project name at the top of the editor and choose AI Costs & Usage. The Project Costs window lists the AI operations your workspace was charged for, with the date, the type of operation and the tokens used, plus totals for the period. You can switch to other projects in your workspace and filter by operation type and date.

Steps

  1. In the TeleportHQ editor, at the top center, click your project name.
  2. Click AI Costs & Usage. The Project Costs window opens. The top shows Available Tokens: with your workspace's balance.
The TeleportHQ project-name menu with AI Costs & Usage highlighted
  1. Optional: if your workspace has more than one project, keep Current Project in the project menu or choose another project.
  2. Optional: in the operations menu, choose a type, for example Page Generation or AI Assistant - Orchestration. Choose All Operations to see everything.
  3. Optional: set a date range with from and to. To remove it, click the X (Clear dates).
  4. Read the table. Click Date or Token Credits to sort.

Check that it worked

The table shows the Date, the Operation and the Token Credits used. Above it, Total Token Credits: and Total Requests: sum up what matches your filters, and All ({total}) shows how many rows there are. If nothing matches, you see "No costs found for the selected filters." To load new operations without closing the window, click Refresh costs (the circular arrow).

What the operation types mean

OperationWhat it was
Initial Project GenerationBuilding a project with the AI Website Builder
Design SystemCreating your colors, fonts and styles
Clarifying QuestionsThe quick questions during setup
Page GenerationGenerating a page
Section GenerationGenerating a section
Image GenerationGenerating or editing an image
Optimization (shown in the table as Agentic Optimizations (Total))Checks and repairs the AI runs on what it generated
AI Assistant - Orchestration (shown in the table as AI Assistant - Orchestration (Total))AI Assistant chat messages, plus Rewrite with AI and Ask AI on a page
AI Assistant - Section GenerationSections the AI Assistant built
AI Assistant - Section EditPage edits the AI Assistant made
AI Assistant - FormsForms the AI Assistant created or changed
Translations (shown in the table as Translations (Total))Automatic translations, for example when you add a language, change the project's language, or translate a text yourself

Initial Project Generation, Design System, Optimization, AI Assistant - Orchestration and Translations each show as one row with the total for the period you picked, dated at the most recent operation. Every other operation has its own row.

The operations menu lists the main types. Other AI work, such as Video Generation, Design Refinement, Workflow Generation, Bookings Setup (setting up bookings with AI, writing a bookable item, or reading the columns of an imported file) or Page Schema Markup (JSON-LD) (writing a page's schema markup, including the updates before a publish or a code export), shows under its own name when you choose All Operations.

Troubleshooting

"Failed to load project costs. Please try again." Close the window and open AI Costs & Usage again. If it keeps failing, reload the editor.

I can't find an operation in the list Choose All Operations and clear the date range. Newer kinds of AI work appear only under All Operations. AI runs that failed or were cancelled before they were charged don't appear at all. AI work that finishes in the background after an operation ended is added afterwards, so click Refresh costs a little later.

Good to know

  • The token amounts are what your workspace was charged. Your balance is shared by every project and every member of the workspace.
  • The log doesn't show which member ran an operation.
  • A failed AI run is charged for the AI work it already did. A run that fails before the AI starts working costs nothing and isn't listed. AI work that finishes after an operation ended is billed afterwards.

What are AI tokens, and how many do I get?

AI tokens are the credits TeleportHQ uses for AI features such as generating websites, pages, sections and images and chatting with the AI Assistant; a trial gets 30,000 once, Pro resets to 100,000 every 30 days, Premium to 150,000, and tokens you buy or earn never expire.

What uses AI tokens, and how much?

In TeleportHQ, every AI feature uses AI tokens for the AI work it really does, so costs vary; as a guide, an AI website page is about 3,000 tokens, a web app page about 15,000, a new section at least 1,500 and a 4-second AI video about 9,000, while stock images cost nothing, a run that fails before the AI works costs nothing, and AI 3D models aren't available yet.

What happens when I run out of AI tokens?

When a TeleportHQ workspace doesn't have enough AI tokens, an AI feature stops before it starts and shows a message such as "You need more tokens to continue with this operation. Please purchase more tokens." with the Purchase Tokens window; buy a token pack, earn tokens, or wait for your plan's 30-day reset.

How to buy more AI tokens

To buy AI tokens in TeleportHQ, click N tokens remaining next to your workspace name on the dashboard (or Purchase tokens in the editor), pick a token package in the Purchase Tokens window, click Purchase and pay by card on Stripe; purchased tokens never expire and are non-refundable.
