How to set delivery fees and free delivery

In TeleportHQ, you set your store's delivery fee in E-Commerce Settings → Delivery Settings. Enter one flat Delivery Price, optionally switch on Free Delivery Over Threshold to make delivery free above an order amount, and click Save Delivery Settings. Shoppers see the fee in their cart and at checkout after you publish. To charge different prices in different countries, add shipping zones on top: this flat fee then applies to every country no zone lists.

Before you start#

• Your project needs an active store. See How to add a store to an existing project.
• Delivery settings are available on every plan.

Steps#

1. In the left sidebar, click E-commerce (the card icon).
2. At the top right of the E-Commerce panel, click the gear (E-Commerce Settings). The E-Commerce Setup panel opens.
3. Make sure Enable Delivery is switched on.
4. Click Delivery Settings, next to Enable Delivery. The Delivery Settings panel opens beside it.

5. In Delivery Price, type your flat fee, for example 5. Type 0 to make delivery free on every order.
6. Optional: switch on Free Delivery Over Threshold.
7. In Minimum Order Amount, type the amount, for example 50. Orders at or above this amount get free delivery.
8. Optional: switch on Allow Delivery Notes to let shoppers add instructions like a buzzer code.
9. Click Save Delivery Settings. The button appears once you change something.

10. Publish your site so the new fee reaches your live checkout.

Check that it worked#

• The message Delivery settings saved. appears.
• In the editor, open your cart page, click Cart above the canvas and add a few products. The canvas shows Shipping with your fee, or FREE once the order reaches your minimum amount.
• On your published site, the cart shows the same fee. With a free-delivery amount, it also tells shoppers how much more to spend to get free delivery.
• Invoices list the fee as "Delivery Fee".

Troubleshooting#

"Delivery price cannot be negative." Enter 0 or a positive amount.

"Free delivery threshold must be greater than zero." Enter a Minimum Order Amount above 0, or switch off Free Delivery Over Threshold.

"Delivery price is set to $0. All orders will have free delivery unless you change the price above." This is a reminder, not an error. Type a price if you want to charge for delivery.

The live checkout still shows the old fee Delivery settings reach your live site only after you publish.

Shoppers in some countries pay a different fee A shipping zone lists their country. Zones replace the flat fee for their countries. See How to charge different shipping prices by country.

I turned off Enable Delivery and Store Pickup turned on Your store needs delivery or store pickup. TeleportHQ says "Store Pickup has been enabled. Add at least one store location for customers to use this option." and opens Store Locations. See How to offer in-store pickup.

Good to know#

• Different prices by country, order total or weight. Use shipping zones: each group of countries gets its own rates, which can be flat, depend on the order total, or depend on the parcel's weight. TeleportHQ doesn't fetch live rates from carriers. See How to charge different shipping prices by country.
• Pickup is always free. Shoppers who choose Store Pickup never pay the delivery fee.
• Free-shipping discounts. A discount code or an automatic discount of the type Free shipping removes the fee. See How to create discount codes and How to create automatic discounts.
• Digital products and gift cards have nothing to ship, so an order of only those pays no delivery fee.
• Delivery notes are saved with the order. You see them in the order's Notes section.
• Tax on the fee. With tax rates per country, a rate can also tax shipping. See How to set up invoices and VAT for your store.
