Why isn't my blog post showing on my site?
A TeleportHQ blog post only appears on your site when its Status is Published. Drafts, archived posts and posts scheduled for a later date stay hidden, and posts the AI Assistant writes, or that come from a CSV or JSON file without a status, start as Draft. Your blog pages must also have been published at least once. After that, post changes show on your live site within seconds, with no need to publish again. The same rules apply to Help Center articles.
Check these first
- In the left sidebar, click Blog (or Help Center). If you don't see it, click Plugins, click Blog, then click Open next to Blog panel.
- Find the post and look at its badge: Draft, Scheduled, Published or Archived.
- If it isn't Published, click the post, set Status to Published and click Save Changes. Or click Publish at the top of the Edit Blog Post panel.
- Reload your live blog page after a few seconds.
To publish many posts at once, tick them and click Publish. See How to publish, move or delete several posts at once.
Causes and fixes
The post is a Draft or Archived Only Published posts show on the blog list, the post page, Related Posts and the sitemap. The post's panel says so under Status: "Draft posts are not visible inside your project pages." Publish the post.
The post was imported or written by the AI Assistant Posts imported from a CSV or JSON file without a status start as Draft. Markdown and ZIP imports are published unless you turned off Publish imported posts before importing. Posts the AI Assistant writes start as Draft unless you ask it to publish them. Posts you write with + start as Published. Publish the ones you want to show. See How to import or export blog posts and How to import Markdown files into your blog or help center.
The post is Scheduled It stays hidden until its Publishing date, then publishes itself. Help Center articles work the same way. To show it now, open it and click Publish. See How to schedule a blog post.
A scheduled post's date has passed, but it's still hidden Scheduled posts and articles only publish on their own when the blog or help center uses the TeleportHQ database and the web app is still active. TeleportHQ also checks every hour for missed posts, and publishes overdue posts when you open the project. If your web app access has ended, renew it, or publish the post by hand. See Why does my web app need a slot, and what is the 7-day window?
The blog pages were never published Activating the blog adds pages to your project, but they only exist on your live site after you publish. Publish your project once. See How to publish a web app.
The post is on the list, but not on the first page The blog list shows 20 posts per page at the start (Posts per page in Listing Page Settings), newest first by Creation date. A post with an old Creation date appears further back. Change its Creation date to move it up. With Manual Order on (the Help Center starts with it on), the list follows your own order instead: click Reorder in the panel and drag the post up.
The canvas shows "Post Not Available" In the editor, the post page can only preview published posts. The message says the post is a draft, scheduled or archived and can't be previewed. Click Publish Post to publish it. In the Help Center, the box reads Article Not Available, with Publish Article.
The blog list in the editor looks empty If all your posts are drafts, the list page looks empty in the editor too. Publish at least one post.
My new category or design change doesn't show Posts update live, but category changes and blog page design changes only reach your live site after you publish again. See How to use blog categories, tags and related posts.
The whole blog is gone from my live site The blog was turned off, or its pages were deleted and the project was published. Open the Blog panel. If it says Blog Pages Deleted, click Activate Blog to build the pages again over your posts and settings, then publish. If it says Blog Not Activated, see How to add a blog to your site.
