How to create a TeleportHQ account

To create a TeleportHQ account, go to the Sign up for free page and either click Sign up with Google, Sign up with GitHub or Sign up with Microsoft, or sign up with your email address and a password. Email sign-ups confirm their address from an email. No credit card is required, and your new workspace starts with a 7-day free trial.

Before you start#

• Use the email address you want to keep: you can't change it later yourself. See How to change your name, theme or email address.
• Invited by someone? Sign up with the exact email address the invitation was sent to, so you get access to their workspace or project straight away. See I was invited to TeleportHQ: how do I get access?

Steps#

Sign up with Google, GitHub or Microsoft#

1. Go to play.teleporthq.io/signup.
2. Click Sign up with Google, Sign up with GitHub or Sign up with Microsoft.
3. In the window or page that opens, sign in to that account and approve access.
4. Answer the welcome questions (see below).

You don't need to confirm your email with these options.

Sign up with your email address#

1. Go to play.teleporthq.io/signup.
2. Under or sign up using your email, type your email address. For example, anna@sunnybakery.com.
3. Tick I agree to Terms & Conditions.
4. Click Continue.
5. On Set a password to Sign up!, type a password with at least 8 characters.
6. Click Create account. The page Just one more thing asks you to confirm your email.
7. Open the email from TeleportHQ and click the confirmation link.
8. Answer the welcome questions (see below).

Answer the welcome questions#

The first time you sign in, TeleportHQ opens the window Your 7 day free trial is live on top of the welcome page. It shows the day your trial ends and what the trial unlocks. Click Keep exploring to close it.

Then TeleportHQ asks four short questions:

1. On the welcome page, click Continue.
2. What is your main area of expertise? Click one answer, for example Founder. The next question opens by itself. If none fits, click Other..., type your own and press Enter.
3. What do you plan to build in teleportHQ? Click every answer that applies, for example Marketing site / Landing page and E-commerce store.

4. Click Next.

   

5. Who is this for? Click one answer, for example My company / startup. The next question opens by itself.
6. What have you used to build websites or apps before? Click every answer that applies, or I'm new to this. To name something else, click Others... and type it.

7. Click Let's build something!

   

You can't skip these questions. To change an earlier answer, click its number in the row of dots at the bottom of the page.

Check that it worked#

After the welcome questions, the TeleportHQ dashboard opens in your workspace, My workspace, marked TRIAL. The top of the page shows Trial Plan, the AI tokens you have left and No projects yet.

Troubleshooting#

"An account already exists with this email." You already have a TeleportHQ account with this address, possibly created with Google, GitHub or Microsoft. Go to the sign-in page and use the same method you used before. See I can't sign in: what should I do?

"This email is already connected to a Google account. Sign in with Google" (or GitHub) Sign in with that button instead of creating a password.

"Please accept our Terms & Conditions" Tick I agree to Terms & Conditions., then click Continue again.

"Password must have at least 8 characters" Choose a longer password. Spaces at the start and end don't count.

"Please use the Microsoft button to sign up." Your company's email domain can only use one sign-in method. Use the button the message names.

I didn't get the confirmation email Check your spam or junk folder. On the Just one more thing page, click the resend link under the message ("Didn't recieve one?…"). The message "The email was sent" appears. Resend only works while you're still signed in on that browser; if nothing happens, sign in again with your email and password first.

"Oops, the link is invalid" The confirmation link expired or was already used. On that page, click the link to get a fresh one.

"You must allow popups." Your browser blocked the Google, GitHub or Microsoft sign-in window. Allow pop-ups for play.teleporthq.io and click the button again.

"Email is required" or "Email is not valid" Type your full email address, including the @ and the part after it, then click Continue again.

Good to know#

• One free trial per account. The trial covers one project and 30,000 AI tokens, for 7 days. See How does the TeleportHQ free trial work?
• While the trial runs, the window Your 7 day free trial is live opens each time you open the dashboard. Keep exploring closes it until the next time.
• Subscribe before your trial ends and TeleportHQ adds an extra 25,000 AI tokens to your first paid month. The dashboard counts down the days left for this bonus.
• You can add another sign-in method later by signing in with it using the same email address. See How to add or remove Google, GitHub or Microsoft sign-in.
• Your answers to the welcome questions are saved to your account. You can't edit them later.
