How does the TeleportHQ free trial work?

Every new TeleportHQ account starts with a free 7-day trial. You don't need a credit card. The trial gives you almost the whole product on 1 project, including a custom domain, forms, a web app and 30,000 AI tokens. Your published site asks visitors for a password, which you can remove only after you subscribe. To keep your project online after 7 days, subscribe to Pro or Premium before the trial ends.

How the TeleportHQ trial starts#

• It starts on its own when your first workspace is created, usually right after you sign up.
• A window called Your 7 day free trial is live appears. It shows the date your full access ends ("Full access until …"), the 25,000 token bonus for subscribing early, and what the trial unlocks. It opens again each time you load your dashboard while the trial runs.
• No credit card is needed. Nothing is charged when the trial ends. The workspace is locked instead.

What's included in the TeleportHQ trial#

During the trial, your workspace gets the paid allowances, on 1 project:

• 1 project with up to 200 pages;
• 1 custom domain (connect a domain you own, like mybakery.com);
• 1 web app (a project with sign-in, workflows, a store or a blog);
• unlimited editors, free during the trial;
• 30,000 AI tokens, given once;
• 1 GB of asset storage per project, up to 10 MB per file;
• forms at the paid limits: 10 forms and 2,000 submissions a month;
• analytics, SEO tools, marketing tools, the AI website import and scheduled workflows;
• automatic backups.

Interactive parts that run in the visitor's browser, such as showing and hiding elements, tabs, pop-ups, calendars and a cookie banner, work on a website during the trial too. They don't turn it into a web app.

What the TeleportHQ trial doesn't include#

These features need a Pro or Premium subscription:

• Private projects. Trial projects are public, so anyone with the link can view them.
• Project folders.
• Manual backups. Automatic backups still run.
• Downloading your code. You can open the code view 10 times, but you can't download it.
• Removing the TeleportHQ branding from your published site.
• A public site. During the trial, every publish puts your site behind a password, at every address it's published on, your custom domain included. Copy the password from Publish → Production → Password Protection and share it. You can remove it only after the workspace subscribes. See Why does my published site ask for a password?.
• The teleporthq.site address. Trial sites are published on an address ending in .teleporthq.app, even if the Publish window shows .teleporthq.site. After you subscribe, your next publish moves the site to .teleporthq.site, so links you shared during the trial change.
• The full TeleportHQ database. A TeleportHQ database created during the trial gets the lower tier: 5,000 records per table, and it becomes inactive 7 days after it's created. Features that use the database, such as site logins, the store, the blog and the admin panel, then stop working. In the editor, the database's Plan Limitations box is marked Trial Plan and says: "During the trial your database uses these starter limits and stays active for 7 days. • Add-ons, such as extra languages, extra custom domains or Web App slots.
• A second language. On a TeleportHQ trial you can click Enable internationalization, but you can't add a language, because language slots can only be bought on Pro or Premium. Turning languages off again means restoring a backup, and backups aren't included in the trial. Don't enable internationalization during the trial: subscribe first. How to see how many trial days you have left#

• The dashboard shows a banner to the workspace owner, for example 5 days left to claim your 25,000 AI token bonus, with a Subscribe Now button. On the last day it says Last day to claim your 25,000 AI token bonus.
• In Workspace Settings → General, the plan card says, for example, 3 days left in your trial.
• In Workspace Settings → Plans, the Trial card shows N days remaining. or Trial ends today.
• TeleportHQ also sends reminder emails during the trial.

The 25,000 AI token bonus for subscribing early#

If you subscribe to Pro or Premium while your trial is still running, TeleportHQ adds 25,000 extra AI tokens to your first month. That's on top of the plan's monthly tokens: 100,000 on Pro and 150,000 on Premium. The bonus is part of your first month's allowance, so it doesn't carry over when the monthly tokens refill.

What happens when the TeleportHQ trial ends#

If you haven't subscribed after 7 days, TeleportHQ locks the workspace. Your published site goes offline, your custom domain is removed, and your projects are archived. They're permanently deleted about 30 days later unless you subscribe. Read the details in What happens when my trial or subscription ends?.

Troubleshooting#

"Your account has already used its free trial. Choose a plan on one of your existing workspaces first; after that you can create more workspaces." Each account gets one trial. While none of your workspaces has a paid plan, TeleportHQ doesn't create another workspace without one. Choose a plan for one of your workspaces, or subscribe the new workspace from the start: in the Set up new workspace window, choose a plan and click Start with Pro or Start with Premium.

"Your workspace was created, but without a trial: this account has already used its free trial. Choose a plan for the new workspace to start building in it." You created a workspace with Create without a plan after your trial was used up. The new workspace is locked: choose a plan for it on its Plans page before you build in it.

Good to know#

• The trial is per account, not per workspace. Creating more workspaces doesn't give you more trial time.
• Tokens you buy never expire. The 30,000 trial tokens are given once and aren't refilled. See What are AI tokens?.
• "Create without a plan" can appear in the Set up new workspace window when every workspace you own is paid. There is no free plan: the new workspace uses whatever is left of your account's trial. If the trial is used up, the workspace is created locked, and it stays locked until you subscribe it.
