How to generate a new page with AI

To generate a new page with AI in TeleportHQ, open the Pages list, click +, and choose New Page → Generate Page with AI. TeleportHQ creates an empty page and shows a prompt on the canvas. Pick one of the suggested pages or describe the page you want, then click Generate. The page is built in your site's design and uses your existing navigation and footer.

Before you start

Steps

  1. In the TeleportHQ editor's left sidebar, click the layers icon (tooltip Pages, Components & Tree View).
  2. Next to the Pages folder, click + (or right-click the folder).
  3. Choose New Page, then Generate Page with AI. An empty page opens with the Generate Page with AI prompt on the canvas.

  1. Click one of the suggested page cards, or type a description under or describe your page. For example: A pricing page with three plans, a feature comparison table and an FAQ.
  2. Click Generate. The page starts building on the canvas.

Fill a page you already created: on any empty page, click Populate Page on the canvas. The same prompt opens.

Check that it worked

The page shows Generating this page… and appears in the Generating panel with a progress bar. When it finishes, the content appears on the canvas and you can edit it. See What happens while AI builds your site (and if it fails).

Troubleshooting

"You do not have enough tokens to generate. Please purchase more tokens." Your balance is below what a page needs. Buy tokens, then try again. See How to buy more AI tokens.

"Maximum of 4 concurrent generations allowed. Please wait for one to complete." Four pages or sections are already generating. Wait for one to finish.

"Your current role does not have permission to create pages." or "Your current role does not have permission to populate pages and create components." Ask the workspace owner or an admin to change your role.

Generate Page with AI created a blank page without a prompt Your role can create pages but not components (for example, the Editor role). Ask an admin for a role that can create components.

"You reached the maximum number of pages allowed in a project." Delete pages you don't need, or check your plan's page limit in What's the difference between Trial, Pro and Premium?.

"Generation completed but no content was produced. Please try again." or "Failed to generate or import page content. Please try again." Click Generate again. If it keeps failing, make your description shorter and more specific.

Good to know

  • Your navigation and footer stay as they are. If your site has a navigation and a footer, the new page uses them. Generating a page doesn't change them.
  • If your project has pages planned but not built yet, the prompt lists them under "Already planned for this project — pick one to find it in the page list." Clicking one takes you to that page in the list; it doesn't generate anything.
  • If your project already has every page the AI would suggest, the prompt says "Your project already covers everything we would suggest — describe the page you want below."
  • In a project that didn't start with AI, the suggestions are Homepage, About, Services and Contact, minus the pages your project already has or has planned. The page the AI generates there brings its own colours and fonts: without AI design values, the AI works from a general design brief, not from your project's colours, fonts or text styles, which show through only where the page's own styles leave something unset. Restyle the page, or link your text styles, once it is in.
  • Cancel closes the prompt and keeps the empty page. Delete it if you don't need it, or click Populate Page to open the prompt again.
  • You can also ask the AI Assistant to generate a page, for example Create a Careers page with open positions.

In the TeleportHQ editor, open Pages, Components & Tree View in the left sidebar, click + on the Pages folder, choose New Page → Blank Page and type a name; the new page starts with your site's navigation and footer.

Get better results from TeleportHQ's AI by giving a detailed business description, attaching your brief or brand guidelines, naming your brand colors and fonts, working one section at a time, selecting what you want changed, starting a new chat per task and saving standing instructions for the AI Assistant.

How to reuse pages and sections AI generated earlier (AI Hub)

In the TeleportHQ editor, click the project name and choose AI Hub to see the pages and sections AI generated in the project, click one to preview it, and click Add Page to Project or Add Section to Project to add a copy again, without using AI tokens.
