How to fill in a bookable item with AI

When you add a bookable item in TeleportHQ, Autofill using AI writes it for you from a short description. In the Bookings panel, click Add Item, click Autofill using AI, describe what people book and click Generate Item. The AI fills in the item's name, description, photos, how it is booked, capacity, price and category, plus variants and extras when your description implies them. Nothing is saved until you check the form and click Create Item.

Before you start

Steps

  1. In the editor's left sidebar, click Bookings. If you don't see it, click Plugins, click Bookings, then click Open next to Bookings panel.
  2. Next to Items, click + (tooltip Add Item). The New Item form opens beside the panel.
  3. At the top right of the form, click Autofill using AI. The Generate an Item with AI window opens.

  1. In What do people book?, describe the item in one or two sentences: what it is, how long or how many nights, how many people, the price. For example: A sea-view double room with a balcony, breakfast included, for up to 2 guests, around 140 a night. The box takes up to 2,000 characters.
  2. Click Generate Item, or press Enter. The button reads Generating… while the AI works. (Shift+Enter adds a new line instead.)

  1. The window closes and the form is filled in. Check every field, especially How It Is Booked, the capacity, Fewest Guests / Most Guests and the price.
  2. Under More for this item, open Variants and Extras to check what the AI added. See How to add variants, extras and related items to a bookable item.
  3. At the bottom of the form, click Create Item. The message "“…” can be booked now." appears.

What the AI fills in

Autofill using AI in TeleportHQ fills in:

  • Item Name, Description and Location. On a site with several languages, it writes them in every language of the site.
  • Item Images: photos it finds for the item.
  • Categories: one of your item categories, or a new one when none fits. A new category is only kept if you create the item.
  • How It Is Booked: the way the form was set, unless your description asks for another one (nights for a room, days for a bike rental).
  • Length (minutes), or Fewest nights / Most nights (or days).
  • What The Capacity Counts, Bookings At Once or Guests At Once, Fewest Guests and Most Guests.
  • The price, in your bookings' currency, and The price is per guest.
  • Variants (up to 3 options, such as a view or a bed type) and Extras (such as breakfast or parking, with how each is charged), only when your description implies them.

It leaves Status, After Each Booking, Related Items and Calendar Sync as they are. Fill those in yourself.

Check that it worked

The new item's card appears in the Bookings panel with the name, photo and price the AI wrote. In Project Costs (choose All Operations), the request shows as Bookings Setup. See How to see what AI has cost your workspace.

Troubleshooting

A window asks you to buy AI tokens Your workspace has fewer than 500 AI tokens, so nothing was generated; the window to buy tokens is the only message you get. Buy more, or fill in the item by hand. See How to buy more AI tokens.

"The item could not be generated. Please try again." The AI couldn't finish. Click Generate Item again. If it keeps failing, write a shorter, clearer description.

The price or the way it is booked is wrong The AI reads them from your description. Write the price and the length or number of nights you want, then check How It Is Booked and the price before you save.

I don't see Autofill using AI The item is already saved. Autofill only works on a new item: click Add Item to start one.
